Away with Words

Poetry and prose. I'm trying.

You spoke in that sound that only you speak,
Capturing, rapturing, ravaging me,
Fueling what fear sough to carry away:
One love, above all, that I strive for and seek.

I held you with foresight, I saw a great fire.
I thought that I saw that I lived with desire.
Hoping and praying that this was my fate:
Your love, so perfect, that it proved God a liar.

You kissed me and set all the demons ablaze.
Your mouth playing melodies fit to amaze.
My wonder, my truth, all this you became
Forever my heart and my life with you stays.
